Rehberg - and the building, most important for us: the hotel Sumava.
Two big hotels, the church, the municipality office, restaurants and
single-family houses. A small place, however nevertheless one biggest
settlements here in the national park Sumava.
Wie sehr die Hotelführung um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht ist, merkt man daran, dass sogar der Aufzug zwischen 2200 und 0730 Uhr ausgeschaltet ist, um den Schlaf der Gäste nicht zu stören. ;-)
One notices how the hotel management is very much bothered around the welfare of the visitors at even the elevator of between 2200 and 0730 o'clock being off in order not to interrupt the sleep of the visitors. ;-)
| Srni - zu deutsch Rehberg - liegt ca 860
Meter über dem Meer und ist die Heimat von ungefähr 350
Personen. Wie die meisten Orte im Böhmerwald wurde auch Srni - Rehberg im 18. Jahrhundert von Holzfällern gegründet. Die Kirche wurde 1804/05 errichtet und ist der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit geweiht. Renoviert wurde sie um 1970.

Irgendwie überlebte das Kriegerdenkmal samt Inschrift die Vertreibung der deutschen Bevölkerung und die nachfolgenden Jahrzehnte. - Somehow the war memorial with inscription survived the eviction of the German population and the following decades along . |
